We are celebrating 15th birthday of Murali Flutes this year (2020). We had ups and downs, but we have come a long way and we are proud to offer several flute models with different options today. Operating from a paradise island in Thailand, we work hard to bring you beautiful and reliable instruments at affordable prices. At this moment we are bringing together the best that China has to offer, and the advanced technology of the Bangkok jewelry industry. We reassemble the instruments properly and take care of everything that normally gets missed in factories. Although this has been working fine, the next phase is doing it from scratch in Thailand which will allow for our inventions to be incorporated into the design. That’s a secret for now until it’s patented. The current flutes are the result of the hard work of a number of highly experienced flutemakers from the US, and finished by Boris Popovich, a Boston flutemaker who started his carreer at Powell Flutes in September 2000. He finished about 500 flutes there, then about 100 flutes at Haynes Flutes, before opening a repair shop where he overhauled another 500 or so handmade flutes parallel to running Murali Flutes. We will be adjusting our prices these days, but you are always welcome to make us an offer. Everything must go to make space in the shop and give us seed money for the new flutes which we will also try to make affordable, but they will inevitably cost a bit more. It will be worth it.
